About Tutro

Tutro is a UK tutor application and partner-agency routing layer. It explains how experienced tutors can access online tutoring opportunities through selected agencies and how agencies can engage with that route.

Why Tutro exists

Many experienced tutors and qualified teachers are interested in online tutoring work but are unsure which agencies to approach or how best to present their experience. Tutro exists to make that initial stage clearer, by describing the route into partner agencies in plain, formal language.

For agencies, Tutro provides a small but useful part of their recruitment journey by setting accurate expectations about self-employed online tutoring roles and directing suitable applicants towards their own application pages.

What Tutro is and what it is not

Tutro is a public-facing explanation of the tutor application route for selected online tutoring agencies. It presents eligibility information, outlines how applications are routed and provides links to current partner routes.

Tutro is not a tutoring agency that directly employs tutors, and it is not a public job board or a marketplace where families browse tutors. It does not offer guaranteed work, and it does not sit inside the contract between tutors and agencies.

How the partner route works

Applications that begin on Tutro are routed to a selected partner agency. Tutors are encouraged to read the information on the Become a Tutor page before following the link to the partner’s own application form. The current live partner is named on that page when tutors are ready to apply.

Once a tutor moves to the partner site, the partner agency manages its own selection criteria, safeguarding checks, onboarding steps and any tutoring work that follows. Contracts and working arrangements are between the tutor and the partner agency.
